90% of employers in the USA say that communication skills are important to them but only 53% believe that new graduates have these skills. When it comes to communication skills what are Gen Z struggling with?
I think that they have been thrown into an environment without training. Communication is a skill that is not taught at school. You may have had parental guidance around communication and that is a huge advantage when you enter the workforce. Whereas if you didn’t, then when can you learn communication skills? You are not taught anywhere, so you are left to your own devices and if you have never learned it then you are not going to be good at it.
